    I know this thread is a year old, but I had to say: NICE!

  4. @ValéryTarondeau Here's a huge web app I've made with Xojo.

    @ValéryTarondeau operador

    I just wanted to say - although I don't understand french; at all - the site is incredible. I'm really impressed. I'm terrible with UI development and I'm quite envious with how you've gotten the app to look. If you ever decide to create a tutorial series on YouTube, I'd love to watch it (hopefully at least there would be english subtitles :)

    Does not work due too many 3rd party dependencies-
    The use of 3rd party consent on a website is very questionable without informed consent.
    When I type in an URL in my Browser I expect exactly a webpage from this server, not from any other (the usual suspects).

    @ValéryTarondeau,

    Excellent site. Nice UI and it flows very well.
    I am a bit of a caveman on UI so an occasional blog or YouTube tutorial would be nice.

    I created a web app to be able to play cards with my friends in the corona-crisis. It has an integrated videoconference. You find german and english informations at dokorona.de - feel invited to play a game!

    I made a very small lookup tool to help track the materials required for Animal Crossing New Horizons recipes. It has a mobile interface that's pretty snappy even on my Android phone.

    Check it out on mobile because the desktop view is pretty boring :P

    @Tim P https://crafting.timi.me

    Tim, can you tell how you run the webapp? I suppose it's a standalone app and you configured port 80, right? As I recognize, your webapp runs on a subdomain of timi.me. It seems, as if the usage of port 80 of your subdomain doesn't interfere with port 80 of your main domain. Is that right? Would be great to run webapps as standalone apps without having to add separate ports.

    Frank, you can set a subdomain to its own server (droplet) so there will be no conflict. If you need several apps running on same server, then you will need a reverse proxy (nginx, haproxy, apache reverse proxy) to handle them.

    The back button doesn't work for me Tim.

    @Rod Pascoe The back button doesn't work for me Tim.

    Interesting, it seems the only place the back button does work is my Android XD
    Safari and Firefox don't seem to like the ContainerControl.Close approach. I will have to investigate.

    Update: It turns out it's the toolbar isn't sending the action event when you set a desktop browser user agent to iPhone. I've received a confirmation that it works on mobile safari. I'm not sure why desktop isn't behaving. I'll stop derailing the thread now.

    Hi all,
    (I just spotted Frank Kersten's post above - lol!!)
    I did exactly the same as Frank - built a card game app, initially just for my family, during Covid Lock-down. Great minds think alike, eh Frank!! lol
    However, key difference here - Snaz! Virtual Card Tables are NOT game-specific - you can play pretty much any card game that you know - you make the rules.
    If anybody here enjoys playing card games with their mates - but now cannot (due to current anti-virus social-distancing) - then this new app will make your day! (and it's Free)
    My new website is the FREE signup portal (that's created with Wix Webuilder) - however my Snaz! Virtual Card Tables are all built 100% with Xojo 2019r1. Enjoy!!

    Here's a little video...

    Did you use any 3rd party controls/plugins? I like the UI.

  16. No, it's all native Xojo. No added sugar or artificial flavourings! :-)

    Here's a fairly simple cable and circuit breaker sizing calculator I made with Xojo, currently running on a Raspberry Pi in my office.

    http://pragmaticdesigns.com/wirecalc.html

    The calculator runs as an embedded page in a frame on my main site, which is on GoDaddy.

    Not a fancy UI, but functional :)
