Find and replace in IDE

Hello,
is there a possibility to find and replace in marked text?
I tried to do that simple thing but it doesn’t work.

Half a decade (Realbasic) i have to work with things like notepad.
Google results are very old too.
Who can help?

It’s one of the buttons on the find pane.

The right-most one to be more precise.

Ok, it works.
You have to “find” the text
then you have to search in the results for the text to replace and mark it (ctrl + LMB).
Then it works with the replace button.
Why not easier?
To mark directly in the code is not possible?

No, that’s not quite right.

Select the text that you want to Find and Replace within. Then bring up the Find panel. Now you can enter your Find text, your Replace text, select the fourth of the filter buttons and hit All.

Ok, now i have it! It’ s good hidden and a little non-intuitive. Since Win98 Notepad works self explaining!
Thanks Gavin!

This part of the IDE needs some refactoring (some people would have said “need love“).

Very uneasy to search all occurences displayed there.

Nothing displayed there can be copied (error messages for example).

Sorry: there may be more, but it was days ago the last time I fired Xojo, I may forgot things.
