Salve, mi presento, sono Alberto uno sviluppatore.
Fino ad ora ho sviluppato delle soluzioni software abbastanza complesse con Filemaker, attualmente ho all’attivo una soluzione per palestre e centri sportivi, un gestionale per fisioterapisti, un sistema informativo per la gestione delle dimissioni ospedaliere (in uso in 5 strutture) e un software per la gestione di Associazioni (o Enti del Terzo Settore). Alcuni miei clienti mi hanno contattato per aggiornamenti, in particolare vorrebbero la soluzione funzionante via web (o cloud). Il problema sono le politiche aziendali di Filemaker, costi esorbitanti per passare alla distribuzione condivisa online. dunque le mie domande sono:
- acquistando la versione web del software ho costi mensili o annuali, se si quanto pagherei?
- possibile importare le soluzioni (almeno il database) da Filemaker a Xojo?
- c’ qualche soluzione web di applicazione gestionale che potrei consultare sul web?
chiedo scusa per il terzo grado ma mi trovo in una situazione di empasse.

once you paid for the web version, you can use it and get the updates during one year. after that year, the xojo web still works, you can still use it, but you don’t get tue updates of the software, that occurs 3-4 times a year.
not sure for this one, but you can always export all the datas as csv text, then import into another sql database
you may (but I’m not sure) connect to a filemaker database using odbc (but still pay for filemaker server so why ?)
You can optionally use Xojo’s Cloud offer. Costs $49 per month per server.
Or use your own server somewhere.
You could use MySQL as database and access it from both Xojo and FileMaker to store data.

you can host the web app on any computer you may have
if it is for an inhouse app or developping purpose it is completely fine.
or host it to some providers, then it depends on the volume and bandwith you need.
