Some time back I wrote this gui wrapper for the macOS rsync utility, in order to update only those MBS plugins, which exist already in the Xojo plugins folder.
The code is open source and you can use it freely, if you like. A compiled and codesigned version is included with the source on github (MBS Updater.zip).
