I am considering using the Excel reader module… but unlike a plugin one can not access any docs from within the IDE because it is an encrypted module…
Maybe making a non-required plugin for it JUST so the docs can be accessed from Help Menu -> Plugin References menuitem might be a good idea.
Thats both good and bad idea (depends a bit on how Xojo handles it), as in if it can display documentation of a plugin that contains no DLL in it but only the manifest.
If so then it should be very good idea and easy to do.
If it were to need dummy DLL in it then we increasing the max DLL issue in Xojo.

That is why I said not to make it required to use the module. In that case those of us that don’t use a ton of plugins could still use it if we wanted to for the docs.
BTW I assume you will try to see if it does need the DLL?
