Can you tell us any about your project? Maybe we can steer you toward better technologies and methods for accomplishing it?

Theres nothing wrong with WebCanvas, but as Tim said performance is largely dependent on what youre doing.
For instance… if your drawing is relatively small and doesnt change much from paint to paint youll want the diff engine on. If its large or changes a lot, youll want it turned off.
My concern is with bugs that are hard to swat. Specifically 39460 and 39677
Both: Closed (Not Reproducible) and 32409 that is was verified in 2014.
But a little bird told me that what I was about to bite off might be solved by you guys in the next few months – so Im going to wait.
