Just installed MySQL-Community on my Mac using Homebrew and all went swimmingly.
Tried to install MySQL-Community on a Dell All-in-One with Windows 7 sp 1. Downloaded and ran installer, appeared to be successful after a couple failed attempts that just hung up and never completed. But I can’t find how to start the server either in the Programs x86 folder, the start menu, desktop or anywhere else. Go to DOS Prompt (Terminal) and in my home directory entered MySQL Server -u root and it tells me that MySQL in not either a valid internal or external command.
anyone have any thoughts?
