What service is good for posting an image that can then be linked to on this forum?

    Thanks.

    Imgur or Dropbox work fine.

I used imgbb for the last images I linked.

Thanks. I signed up for Imgur. ImgBB looks good to. I have Google photo but don't know how to share it publicly.

    I like https://pasteboard.co/
No registration and very simple to use (drag & drop or copy & paste).

There's some options in Imgur that might be useful for sharing/linking. Uploading is easy enough.

I recommend imgur over any of the others for multiple reasons.

    1. Imgur is capable of handling the traffic of reddit so the images won't become unavailable at random
    2. Imgur doesn't load up the page with ads that get through blockers
    3. Imgur allows direct hotlinking (some of the others do not)

Imgur does not require signing up, however if you do you can manage your images later.
(honestly, is this your biggest hangup?)

Here's a secret (?) Dropbox tip. Dropbox gives you a link for the file that looks like:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/bjwy5xsjwbk5os1/Art.jpg?dl=0

Change it to the following to get a direct link:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/bjwy5xsjwbk5os1/Art.jpg

or simply change the ending 0 to 1 and the file will download directly (without user click).
