MPCalc Plugin 6.0

MPCalc Plugin 6.0 is now 32 and 64 bit aware.

MPCalc Plugin provides the functionality of my multi-precision RPN calculator to a Xojo program. It can handle numbers with up to 30,000 decimal digits. As floating point numbers, the magnitude of the exponent can be very large, of the order of 65,000,000 or so. As a Mac OS, Linux, and Windows plugin it can be used to create Xojo applications which run under Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. In particular, you can create an RPN or other calculator of your own design. No license is required. A tutorial is included.

In addition to the usual scientific functions, there are:

Bessel Functions J, Y, I, and K of both integer and non-integer order
Spherical Bessel Functions j, y, i, and k of both integer and non-integer order
Zeroes of Bessel Functions J and Y
Kummer’s Function M(z, y, x)
Hypergeometric Function F(t, z; y; x)
Exponential Integral E_n(x)
Bernoulli Numbers B_x (x an integer where 0 <= x <= 1000)

Using Xojo and the MPCalc Plugin I’ve created the application MPCalcRB in 32 and 64 bit versions for Mac, Linux, and Windows. It comes with an extensive Help menu.
