    I hope not... I just found this one Quora. I couldn't resist posting it here...
    But I think it is hilarious anyway. And I am thinking to implementing it. But just with some bogus usernames, of course.

    It would either freak people out, or give them something to laugh about...

    I used an ERP 10 years ago that gave us 50% of the answer. "This password is already in use, try another one".

    Serious flaw. It could be 50, 100, with few guesses you could find many just observing the login names and people's behaviors. Pet lovers? Try theirs pet names, stupid people, try 1234. :D If find that the password rob1234 is in use, just need to know who are the users rob* like. The list goes on.

    With proper hashing on the backend, it wouldn't matter if all users coincidentally chose the same password, and there would be no way for the system to know anyway.
