Now I have a couple of days for playing with Raspberry Pi 3.
Yesterday I received my Vilros Ultimate Starter Kit from Amazon (plus a SunFounder 37 Modules Sensor Kit and more). Plugin in a USB keyboard with mouse and an HDMI monitor, connecting it to the power-cable and voil: it is up and running with a graphical UI. I enabled SSH and allowed root access and then I used Transmit to copy ‘Eddie’s Electronics’ test web application onto it. It runs like a charm. I did not expect it to be as responsive, very nice!
I also installed Webmin on it and it works just as I know it from the Ubuntu Servers I am administrating with it. This all looks straight forward and very promising. I like it!
Next step is to work through Eugene Dakin’s “I wish I Knew How To … Program Rasbberry Pi” - let’s see what else we can do with it!
