2016r4 loses connection with new plugin

Hi All,

has anyone noticed that the new plugin in the 2016r4 release loses connection to a MySQL Community Server?
I replaced it with the one from 2015r4.1 and it all went back to normal.

We’ve not had time to test it yet. Please report it via Feedback and provide a sample project and database.

MySQL has removed support for old, insecure password storage formats from both their client drivers and servers for a while now. We’ve found that some users of recent Xojo releases just need to update the MySQL account they are using to the more secure password format:
