Yes, the Galleria is close (easy walking distance for the non US part of us).
BUT, it’s is very expensive there. Only major brands for high prices.
Better try to get an Uber ride to “Memorial City Mall”, if you start from the Galleria, there is a special Uber rate of 7.13 USD, i think for all destinations in Houston.
Same for the Memorial City Mall, so easy and cheap way back.
